5/18/23 – Old Gregg Loop
Check out more photos from last week’s ride on Facebook!
Hi Everyone!
I want to thank everyone for helping kick us off the 2023 season with a record 110 riders last week! I always appreciate the effort each of you make to get to Millheim in time to ride, but last week, it was beyond any expectations!
The weather looks good this week, just a little cooler.
The Route
Check out The Old Gregg Loop by downloading the CentreBike’s Ride w/ GPS App or via the Centre Bike Ride w/ GPS library (search for “PVPP” to see all of our rides from the past!). We’ll start out with the hill on Long Lane to warm us up. I’ve avoided this start to our routes due to riders not staying in their lane at the crest of the hill. We’re going to try it again. Please stay to your right, in your lane, on the first hill. No matter how slow the rider in front of you is, be patient, and stay to the right. It’s not a race! This is one of the most dangerous areas in the Penns Valley area. I will be at the top of the hill to slow vehicle traffic coming in the opposite direction, please make my roll unnecessary!
Watch for groundhogs on the Long Lane descent!
We’ll ring the bell when it’s time to roll!
Cheers with Beers Creekside!
Thanks to the Elk Creek Café staff and a few volunteers, Elk Creekside will be up and running this week for our dining and drinking pleasure! They’re planning to prepare food in the trailer and will offer pre-orders, with the taps flowing following our ride!
Looking forward to seeing everyone again this week!

Miles for Mark Ride
Thursday, June 8th, 2023
This weekly PVPP ride will be dedicated to Mark Rupert, who we already miss so dearly after only one week of Pedals and Pints without him. He truly can never be replaced. We’ll dedicate this ride to Mark. We’re still working on many of the details, but please save the date and RSVP if you know you can attend.
