Grit Gravel Grinder – Cheering Squad

Grit Gravel Grinder – Cheering Squad

Above photo is from Tour de France…but we can do better, right?!

Penns Valley Pedals and Pints is manning the 2nd Support Station at Penn Roosevelt State Park for the June 3rd Seasons of Rothrock GRIT Gravel Grinder race. This is the support station for the Grittier and Grittiest riders. We have the people needed to man the Support Station (food + water tent). BUT, we would love for Penns Valley Pedals and Pints to be well represented in a cheering capacity. That’s right! This race has some grueling hill climbs and a little encouragement can go a long way! Your sole purpose would be to cheer on the riders as they come through and leave the station (there’s quite a hill they have to climb as they leave!) – no real work involved. All we ask is that you bring your enthusiasm, big voices, and clapping hands. If you’re really into it, bring bells (or other fun noise makers), flags and maybe fun outfits to boot!

If interested, please plan to stay the entire time. Leaving or arriving mid-race would mean getting in the way of racers, causing dust, etc. RSVP and we’ll send more information about arrival/departure and parking the week before the race.

Questions can be sent to erica@pennsvalleypedalsandpints.com. This is our first attempt at coordinating something like this so bear with us.
